Hi, I'm John. I'm looking forward to meeting you, but until then, let me tell you about myself. In my youth I Rodeo-ed with my older brother and found a deep love of cycling and running for my cross-training. In the state of Colorado it is required to have the minimum of a 500 hour from a accredited educational institute and take the state test to be a Licensed Massage Therapist. In August 2011 I started my massage education with the Denver School of Massage Therapy and graduated in 2012 with 815 hours . In March of 2013 I went to Las Vegas and attended the Nevada School of Massage Therapy where I received my Master BodyWorker Education with 220 hours. In 2014 I started studying with Advanced-Trainings to receive my certification in Advanced Myofascial Therapy (AMT) which I am still currently pursuing. I currently have just under 400 hours with Advaned-Trainings. In 2016 my career took me to the Colorado School of Healing Arts where I studied for a year to receive my Advanced Neuromuscular Therapy education with 240 hours. I have logged more than three times the amount needed to be Licensed.
Throughout daily life many have found ways that have restricted their movement and left them in some sort of discomfort. At Massage Kinetics I use a combination of Movement & Structural Therapy, Advanced Myofascial Therapy (AMT), Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) and Sports Massage.
What is Movement & Structural? Movement & Structural is taught in the philosophy and manner of Structural Intergration (SI). Structural Integration (SI) is a process-based approach to somatic education, typically involving manual therapy, that explores the possibility of change in how you use and experience your body. Through education, awareness, and therapeutic touch, you can release painful, stressful patterns of tension. Effortful habits are replaced with feelings of comfort, ease of movement and posture, and a sense of whole-body coherence (IASI). https://www.theiasi.net/
What is Advanced Myofascial Therapy? Myofascial release (MFR) therapy focuses on releasing muscular shortness and tightness. There are a number of conditions and symptoms that myofascial release therapy addresses. Many patients seek myofascial treatment after losing flexibility or function following an injury or if experiencing ongoing back, shoulder, hip, or virtually pain in any area containing soft tissue.
What is Neuromuscular Therapy? Neuromuscular therapy is a form of soft tissue manipulation that aims to treat underlying causes of chronic pain involving the muscular and nervous systems. This medically-oriented form of massage addresses trigger points (tender muscles points), circulation, nerve compression, postural issues, and biomechanical problems that can be caused by repetitive movement injuries.

What is Sports Massage? Developed to help with muscle systems used for a particular sport, sports massage uses a variety of approaches to help athletes in training -- before, during, or after sports events. You might use it to promote flexibility and help prevent injuries. Or, it may help muscle strains, aiding healing after a sports injury.

Russian Sports Massage:
Russian massage is sometimes referred to as connective tissue massage, point massage, or reflexology massage, depending on the techniques used during treatment.
Russian massage techniques are similar to most sports massage practices, but they involve slower, softer motions. Russian massages focus on the use of friction to generate heat within the body. The masseuse combines this with vibration to ease muscle pain and stiffness. It also relieves mental stress.
Russian massage includes range of motion exercises that are uncommon in other massage techniques. These practices target unused areas of the body and are similar to the stretching practices in yoga.
Most distinctively, Russian massage involves a slapping technique known as "percussion,” which loosens muscular adhesions.
This has help increase Range of Motion (ROM), decrease different types of pain and improved quality of life. During the session you will take a active roll in helping me help you improve range of motion and can help decrease pain levels on your path to
Kinetic Freedom.
During your time spent at Massage Kinetics you are part of a team, which means I am invested in you and your journey to Kinetic Freedom. After each session You should be able to sense and feel changes to your body.
